I want something new for my journal. I like the layout and basic black of it, but I want to make it a bit more organized i suppose. Just want a little bit of fresh air on my page. I don't know what to take out or what to leave in. Does anyone even bother reading these hrm?

Im still struggling with school things. I have until the 19th of September to finish my huge studio arts work and im not even close. I really don't know what im going to do. Its stressing me out heaps and i haven't had time for anything.
Just getting over yet another cold for this winter. I'll be very glad to get a bit of sunshine this way soon. I'll be 18 in less than two weeks which means during Christmas im going to try and head to the coast and disappear for a few weeks. It will be lovely. I dont really have anything planned for my birthday. Just a few people around i suppose.

I have SO many ideas that i want to produce. Maybe i should sketch them down and keep them in my scraps for later? I want to do more with a 'steampunk' 'neo-victorian' feel. I really love all that old machinery type stuff. Gogs, goggles, glass, brass, keys, beads, machines, steam, rust, engines, airships, wires, fancy jewellery and clothes. I've also been inspired by a lot of Egyptian type stuff lately, mostly the scarab beetles, bandages and ankh imagery that i want to use. I want to try something a little different. I hope to bring something new to my style after November when all my highschool crap is over with.
Im looking forward to it all.
I hope that everyone can put up with my cranky little miss until then.

Well that's it. Just wanted to write a little something.

The themes in Audrey Kawasaki's work are contradictions within themselves. Her work is both innocent and erotic. Each subject is attractive yet disturbing. Audrey's precise technical style is at once influenced by both manga comics and Art Nouveau.

Amy Sol works intuitively from the beginning to end of each piece, with the intent that each painting’s theme or message can be interpreted subjectively. Within these delicate works, you may often find whimsical landscapes populated with exotic plants, animals and females… Amongst the expressions of each character are notions of peaceful reflection and a sense of companionship.

Miss Van started wall-painting in the streets at the age of 18 in the early 1990s, initiating the feminine movement in street art. Also see here for a collection of images - [link] Miss Vans works are incredibly flirtatious and ooze sexy!

The figures in KuKula's paintings wear their heartaches on their sleeves. They are delicate but resilient dolls buffeted by the crosswinds of the real world.

Stella is a painter and drawer living in New York City. Despite her background in industrial design and toy design, she has recently turned to a more personal and expressive kind of creating, showing her works at galleries since fall of 2005.
Beautiful haunting images.

All women's dresses, in every age and country, are merely variations on the eternal struggle between the admitted desire to dress and the unadmitted desire to undress ~Lin Yutang
:iconheterodyning:
It depends how inspirational they are, I suppose. I've had very big issues with copy cats and take pride in the fact that I have aged and developed my style for the past ten years, much like a fine wine, but if it's in drawings and the like (as I'm supposing it will be, as your gallery is filled with lovely drawings) then it shouldn't be too much of an issue. If you're not making jewelry and you'd like to add a piece of mine to a drawing then as long as I retain all rights to that part of the image (i.e. you credit me and the like) it shouldn't be a problem.

I saw them live many times between 2000 and 2003 - they are very successful in France
... I was almost in love with Brian Molko then :D

I love to draw Chelsea - if i had to choose a unique model for my work, it would be her : she has that cruel doll looks I love :yummie:

Oh im hopeless with jewelery, so it would definitely just be some drawing things. I just like some of the elements you put together, the keys with beads and wings and the idea with the ankh piece, thats all i meant :)
Of course i'd give you the credit it for it if i use your ideas :aww: thank you so much !
And i hope its surely ok. I dont want to cause drama. I cant stand all that stuff :)
